The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) and the host Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA), observed Model's football squad edge Fannin County by a count of 28-27.

The Blue Devils now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Haralson County for a AA Region 7 contest on Friday, October 13. Model will play a Rebels squad coming off a 48-6 league loss to Rockmart (Rockmart, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 1-6.

Coming up next, the Rebels play the North Murray Mountaineers (Chatsworth, GA) in a AA Region 7 contest, on Friday, October 13. Fannin County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Mountaineers go into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 56-7 league win over Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA).
