The Fernley Vaqueros football squad scored 21 points and restricted the visiting Lowry Buckaroos to 14 in the Vaqueros league victory on Friday.

The Vaqueros now possess a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Spring Creek for a 3A Northern battle on Friday, October 13. Fernley will face a Spartans squad coming off a 40-8 league loss to Churchill County (Fallon, NV). The Spartans record now stands at 3-4.

Coming up next, the Buckaroos face the South Tahoe Vikings (South Lake Tahoe, CA) in a 3A Northern battle, on Friday, October 13. Lowry will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 6-0 league loss to Sparks (Sparks, NV).
