The Grand Ledge Comets football team (Grand Ledge, MI), was beaten 42-13 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Lapeer Lightning (Lapeer, MI)

The Lightning (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Midland (Midland, MI). The Chemics come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Midland was beaten by Bay City Western (Auburn, MI), 24-14, in a league challenge.

The Comets now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Okemos for a Capital Area - Blue challenge on Friday, October 13. Grand Ledge will meet a Wolves team coming off a 60-0 league loss to DeWitt (DeWitt, MI). The Wolves record now stands at 0-7.
