New Mexico High School Football - Grants gets by Taos

October 6, 2023: Taos, NM 87571

The Grants Pirates football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Taos Tigers to 27 in the Pirates non-league win on Friday.

The Pirates now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Silver for a 4A District 3/5 battle on Friday, October 13. Grants will play a Fighting Colts squad coming off a 28-0 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Fighting Colts record now stands at 5-2.

Coming up next, the Tigers play the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) in a 4A District 2 battle, on Thursday, October 12. Taos will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Sundevils go into the battle with a 4-3 record after their 54-30 non-league win over Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM).
