The Harlan County Black Bears football squad scored 26 points and restricted the host South Laurel Cardinals to 22 in the Black Bears league victory on Friday.

The Black Bears now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pulaski County for a 5A District 8 battle on Friday, October 13. Harlan County will face a Maroons squad coming off a 28-14 league loss to North Laurel (London, KY). The Maroons record now stands at 2-6.

Coming up next, the Cardinals face the Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) in a 5A District 8 battle, on Friday, October 13. South Laurel will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 29-28 non-league loss to Franklin County (Frankfort, KY).
