Tennessee High School Football - Huntingdon trounces Jackson Central Merry

October 6, 2023: Jackson, TN 38301

In Friday's league match, the visiting Huntingdon Mustangs football squad scored a big 41-6 victory over the Jackson Central Merry Cougars.

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Gibson County Pioneers (Dyer, TN) in a 2A Region 6 match, on Friday, October 13. Huntingdon will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 1-6 record after their 44-0 non-league win over Stewart County (Dover, TN).

The Cougars (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Peabody (Trenton, TN). The Golden Tide enter the 2A Region 6 match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Peabody routed Camden Central (Camden, TN), 72-41, in a league match.
