The Menominee Maroons football team (Menominee, MI), was knocked off 47-20 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI)
The Miners (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Houghton (Houghton, MI). The Gremlins come into the Western Peninsula - Copper challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Houghton was knocked off by Gladstone (Gladstone, MI), 31-8, in a league challenge.
The Maroons now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kingsford for a Western Peninsula - Copper challenge on Friday, October 13. Menominee will meet a Flivvers team coming off a 35-0 league win over Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Flivvers record now stands at 6-1.
