Pennsylvania High School Football - Newport topped by Susquenita

The Newport Buffaloes football team (Newport, PA), was beaten 42-14 in Friday's league challenge with the host Susquenita Blackhawks (Duncannon, PA)

The Blackhawks (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Halifax (Halifax, PA). The Wildcats come into the Mid-Penn - Liberty challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Halifax was beaten by Line Mountain (Herndon, PA), 50-14, in a league challenge.

The Buffaloes now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Steelton-Highspire for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 12. Newport will meet a Steamrollers team coming off a 55-7 league win over Camp Hill (Camp Hill, PA). The Steamrollers record now stands at 7-0.
