The South Eugene Axe football team (Eugene, OR), was tipped 43-40 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR)

The Highlanders (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Lancers come into the 5A Special District 2 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Churchill was tipped by Springfield (Springfield, OR), 21-8, in a league challenge.

The Axe now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thurston for a 5A Special District 2 challenge on Friday, October 13. South Eugene will meet a Colts team coming off a 47-6 league win over Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR). The Colts record now stands at 4-2.
