The Santa Rosa Warriors football team (Santa Rosa, TX), was beaten 30-20 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX)

The Greyhounds (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Alto (Monte Alto, TX). The Blue Devil come into the 3A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Monte Alto was beaten by Odem (Odem, TX), 43-6, in a league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monte Alto for a 3A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge on Friday, October 20.
