Texas High School Football - Shepherd succumbs to Westwood

October 6, 2023: Palestine, TX 75802

The Westwood Panthers thwarted the visiting Shepherd Pirates football team by a count of 42-28 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Westwood upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX) to encounter the Trojans in a 3A-1 Region III District 9 outing on Friday, October 13. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 5-2. Coldspring-Oakhurst lost 28-18 in their recent league outing against Woodville (Woodville, TX)

With the loss, Shepherd moves to 3-4 on the season. The Pirates host Diboll (Diboll, TX) to encounter the Lumberjacks in a 3A-1 Region III District 9 outing on Friday, October 13. The Lumberjacks go into the outing with a record of 4-2. Diboll won 14-3 in their recent league outing against Westwood (Palestine, TX)
