In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints.

The Knights (18-4) will now prepare for their battle against Renville County West (Renville, MN). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Renville County West achieved victory over Springfield (Springfield, MN), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Fighting Saints clash with the Murray County Central Rebels (Slayton, MN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 7. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg will attempt to advance on its 5-11 season record. The Rebels come into the battle with a 5-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Cleveland (Cleveland, MN).
