The Monterey Bay Academy (La Selva Beach, CA) volleyball tipped the visiting Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans (Healdsburg, CA), 2-1 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Monterey Bay Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year.

The Spartans now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they host Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy for a Small School Bridge outing on Tuesday, October 10. Rio Lindo Adventist will play a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Sacramento Adventist (Carmichael, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-6.
