South Fork Cubs (Miranda, CA) followers went home content Monday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Round Valley Mustangs (Covelo, CA), 42-22 in a league match.

The Cubs (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Potter Valley (Potter Valley, CA). The Bearcats come into the North Central III (8 Man) match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Potter Valley was beaten by Swett (Crockett, CA), 22-14, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Tomales Braves (Tomales, CA) in a North Central III (8 Man) battle, on Friday, October 10. Round Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Braves go into the battle with a 5-1 record after their 44-12 league win over Elsie Allen (Santa Rosa, CA).
