Archbishop Williams Bishops (Braintree, MA) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the visiting St. John Paul II Lions (Hyannis, MA), 3-1 in a non-league outing.

The Bishops (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Cardinal Spellman (Brockton, MA). The Cardinals go into the Catholic Central - Large outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Cardinal Spellman got by Boston Latin Academy (Dorchester, MA), 1-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Lions play the Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders (Oak Bluffs, MA) in a Cape and Islands- Atlantic outing, on Wednesday, October 8. St. John Paul II will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Vineyarders go into the outing with a 8-3 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Sturgis West (Hyannis, MA).
