In Monday's non-league outing, the host Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies soccer squad scored a tight 6-1 victory over the Highland Fighting Scots.
The Johnnies (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Northridge (Johnstown, OH). The Vikings go into the Licking County outing with a 10-4 record. In their last outing, Northridge edged Whetstone (Columbus, OH), 15-0, in a non-league test.
The Fighting Scots now have a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Pleasant for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 8. Highland will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 23-0 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 0-8.
