In Monday's non-league match, the host Chopticon Braves football squad scored a good 14-6 triumph over the Great Mills Hornets.
The Braves (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Wolverines come into the non-league battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Westlake prevailed over McDonough (Pomfret, MD), 30-0, in a non-league battle.
The Hornets now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to La Plata for a non-league battle on Monday, October 13. Great Mills will play a Warriors team coming off a 27-6 non-league loss to Lackey (Indian Head, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 0-4.
