The Durham Charter Lions (Durham, NC) soccer nipped the host Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls (Durham, NC), 3-2 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Lions now hold a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Youngsville Academy Charter for a contest on Thursday, October 9. Durham Charter will face a Firebirds team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Iron Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Firebirds record now stands at 1-8.
The Bulls (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Emerson Waldorf (Chapel Hill, NC). The Gnomes go into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Emerson Waldorf was nudged by Excelsior Classical Academy (Durham, NC), 9-0, in a non-league challenge.
