Fans at Monday's league battle between the The Linsly School Cadets (Wheeling, WV) and the host Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH), saw The Linsly School's soccer squad knock off Union Local by a count of 3-1.
The Cadets (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV). The Maroon Knights enter the non-league battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Wheeling Central Catholic tipped Lewis County (Weston, WV), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Jets battle the St. Clairsville Red Devils (St. Clairsville, OH) in a Buckeye 8 battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Union Local will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Red Devils enter the battle with a 12-1 record after their 5-1 league win over Weir (Weirton, WV).
