The Carrollton Trojans softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Slater Wildcats to 5 in the Trojans non-league win on Monday.

Next, the Trojans meet the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MO) in a Class 2 District 15 challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Carrollton will attempt to upgrade on its 17-5 season record. The Minutemen go into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Lafayette County (Higginsville, MO).

The Wildcats (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Northeast (Cairo, MO). The Bearcats go into the non-league challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Northeast toppled La Plata (La Plata, MO), 10-2, in a non-league challenge.
