Colorado High School Softball - Doherty topped by Widefield

Widefield Gladiators (Colorado Springs, CO) fans exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they witnessed their softball team run past the visiting Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO), 12-2 in a non-league match.

The Gladiators (18-2) will now prepare for their match against Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 18-3 record. In their last match, Pueblo Central notched a victory over Pueblo Centennial (Pueblo, CO), 10-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Pine Creek Eagles (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 5A CSML match, on Tuesday, October 7. Doherty will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record.
