Connecticut High School Volleyball - Ansonia can't get by Torrington

Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Raiders (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Crosby (Waterbury, CT). The Bulldogs come into the Naugatuck Valley challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Crosby was nudged by Oxford (Oxford, CT), 3-0, in a league challenge.

The Chargers now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kennedy for a Naugatuck Valley test on Thursday, October 9. Ansonia will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 1-9.
