Illinois High School Volleyball - Astoria/VIT over Brown County

Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Astoria/VIT Rebels (Astoria, IL) and the host Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL), observed Astoria/VIT's volleyball team top Brown County by a count of 2-0.

The Rebels (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 14-11 record. In their last contest, Lewistown notched a victory over Farmington (Farmington, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers (Greenfield, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Brown County will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 16-11 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
