In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Battlefield Bobcats volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Freedom Eagles.
The Bobcats (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Independence (Ashburn, VA). The go into the Cedar Run test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Independence went down by Gainesville (Gainesville, VA), 3-1, in a league test.
The Eagles now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stone Bridge for a Potomac test on Tuesday, October 7. Freedom will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Riverside (Leesburg, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.
