Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) and the visiting Gar-Field Red Wolves (Woodbridge, VA), observed Fairfax's volleyball team top Gar-Field by a count of 3-0.

The Lions (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Cavaliers enter the Patriot contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Woodson was knocked off by Yorktown (Arlington, VA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Red Wolves now own a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom for a Cardinal battle on Tuesday, October 7. Gar-Field will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Charles J. Colgan (Manassas, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-11.
