In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Wirt County Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Fort Frye Cadets.
The Tigers (17-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 18-9 record. In their last test, Ripley went down by Winfield (Winfield, WV), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Cadets now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Linsly School for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 8. Fort Frye will face a Cadets squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV). The Cadets record now stands at 19-5.
