Illinois High School Volleyball - Litchfield tips Mt. Olive

Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) and the visiting Mt. Olive Wildcats (Mt. Olive, IL), observed Litchfield's volleyball team hold off Mt. Olive by a count of 2-1.

The Purple Panthers (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Vandals enter the South Central contest with a 2-23 record. In their last battle, Vandalia was edged by Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now own a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gillespie for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 7. Mt. Olive will encounter a Miners squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL). The Miners record now stands at 7-14.
