The Thornwood Thunderbirds volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Morgan Park Mustangs to 0 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Monday.

The Thunderbirds now have a 16-12 record. They play next when they travel to Crete-Monee for a Southland outing on Tuesday, October 7. Thornwood will play a Warriors team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 11-13.

The Mustangs (1-8) will now prepare for their game against Little Village (Chicago, IL). The Phoenix go into the Chicago Public Red South game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Little Village gained a win over Curie (Chicago, IL), 2-1, in a league game.
