Massachusetts High School Football - Methuen held off by Andover

Andover Golden Warriors (Andover, MA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Methuen Rangers (Methuen, MA), 41-34 in a league test.

With the triumph, Andover improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Golden Warriors host Haverhill (Haverhill, MA) to battle the Hillies in a Merrimack Valley - Division 1 test on Thursday, October 13. The Hillies come into the test with a record of 2-3. Haverhill won 30-6 in their recent league test against Lawrence (Lawrence, MA)

With the loss, Methuen drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA) to battle the Raiders in a Merrimack Valley - Division 1 test on Friday, October 14. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 3-2. Central Catholic won 35-0 in their recent league test against Lowell (Lowell, MA)
