The Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE) football routed the host Hyannis Longhorns (Hyannis, NE), 40-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Coyotes face the South Loup (Arnold, NE) in a D2 District 9 (8 Man) bout, on Friday, October 14. Anselmo-Merna will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 64-14 league win over Mullen (Mullen, NE).

The Longhorns (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Leyton (Dalton, NE). The Warriors enter the D2 District 9 (8 Man) bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Leyton was overwhelmed by Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE), 51-12, in a league bout.
