In Friday's non-league match, the host Becton Wildcats football squad scored a close 17-14 victory over the Secaucus Patriots.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Pompton Lakes Cardinals (Pompton Lakes, NJ) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 7. Becton will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 36-0 league loss to Hasbrouck Heights (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ).
