The St. John's Islanders football squad scored 36 points and restricted the visiting Burke Bulldogs to 30 in the Islanders league victory on Friday.
The Islanders now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Legion Collegiate Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 13. St. John's will play a Lancers squad coming off a 38-22 non-league win over Trinity Collegiate (Darlington, SC). The Lancers record now stands at 2-4.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Baptist Hill Bobcats (Hollywood, SC) in a A Region 8 battle, on Friday, October 14. Burke will attempt to advance on its 0-7 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 5-1 record after their 46-8 league win over Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC).
