Tennessee High School Football - Unaka topples Claiborne

October 7, 2022: New Tazewell, TN 37825

The Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN) football defeated the host Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN), 34-8 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rangers face the Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN) in a 1A Region 1 bout, on Friday, October 14. Unaka will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 3-4 record after their 50-12 non-league loss to Oakdale (Oakdale, TN).

The Bulldogs (4-5) will now prepare for their bout against Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN). The Black Knights enter the 3A Region 1 bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Chuckey-Doak defeated Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN), 49-0, in a non-league bout.
