Illinois High School Football - Coal City topples Peotone

The Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) football defeated the host Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL), 28-14 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Coalers face the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight bout, on Friday, October 14. Coal City will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Comets enter the bout with a 7-0 record after their 73-14 league win over Streator (Streator, IL).

The Blue Devils (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Tigers enter the Illinois Central Eight bout with a 1-5 record.
