California High School Football - Los Angeles held off by Dr. Maya Angelou Community

Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix (Los Angeles, CA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Los Angeles Romans (Los Angeles, CA), 22-20 in a league test.

With the triumph, Dr. Maya Angelou Community improves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Phoenix host View Park (Los Angeles, CA) to battle the Knights in a Southern test on Friday, October 14. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-6. View Park lost 52-8 in their recent league test against Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)

With the loss, Los Angeles drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Romans travel to West Adams (Los Angeles, CA) to battle the Panthers in a Southern test on Friday, October 14. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-5. West Adams lost 47-16 in their recent league test against Diego Rivera (Los Angeles, CA)
