In Friday's non-league game, the Oakley Plainsmen (Oakley, KS) football team were victorious over the visiting Ellis Railroaders (Ellis, KS), by a score of 36-28.

The Plainsmen (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Syracuse (Syracuse, KS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Syracuse was knocked off by Plainville (Plainville, KS), 57-0, in a non-league game.

The Railroaders now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Republic County for a non-league game on Friday, October 14. Ellis will battle a Buffaloes team coming off a 48-7 league loss to Smith Center (Smith Center, KS). The Buffaloes record now stands at 0-6.
