The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Escalante Lobos (Tierra Amarilla, NM) and the visiting Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM), observed Escalante's football squad thwart Laguna Acoma by a tally of 22-14.

The Lobos now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host McCurdy for a 2A District 1/2/5 contest on Friday, October 14. Escalante will play a Bobcats squad coming off a 61-6 league loss to Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-5.
