Indiana High School Football - Jay County drops to Lapel

October 7, 2022: Portland, IN 47371

In Friday's non-league game, the Lapel Bulldogs (Lapel, IN) football team knocked off the host Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN), by a final score of 29-21.

The Bulldogs (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN). The Royals come into the non-league game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Eastern Hancock was dropped by Shenandoah (Middletown, IN), 42-19, in a league game.

The Patriots now hold a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a Allen County game on Friday, October 14. Jay County will battle a Patriots team coming off a 68-20 league win over Southern Wells (Poneto, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.
