The Mount Ida Lions walloped the visiting Lafayette County Cougars football team by a final score of 72-34 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Mount Ida improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Lions host Mineral Springs (Mineral Springs, AR) to confront the Hornets in a 2A Region 3 outing on Friday, October 21. The Hornets go into the outing with a record of 5-2. Mineral Springs lost 20-8 in their recent league outing against Dierks (Dierks, AR)

With the loss, Lafayette County moves to 0-6 on the season. The Cougars host Poyen (Poyen, AR) to confront the Indians in a 2A Region 3 outing on Friday, October 14. The Indians go into the outing with a record of 4-3. Poyen won 42-0 in their recent league outing against Foreman (Foreman, AR)
