The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) and the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs (Rosenberg, TX), observed Lake Creek's football squad bounce Lamar Consolidated by a count of 67-0.

The Lions now own a 7-0 record. They play next when they host Rudder for a 5A-2 Region III District 10 contest on Friday, October 14. Lake Creek will play a Rangers squad coming off a 24-10 league loss to Huntsville (Huntsville, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 2-4.

Coming up next, the Mustangs play the Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 10 contest, on Friday, October 14. Lamar Consolidated will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Cubs go into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 47-14 league win over Montgomery (Montgomery, TX).
