Alabama High School Football - Marion County topples Sumiton Christian

October 7, 2022: Sumiton, AL 35148

The Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL) football defeated the host Sumiton Christian Eagles (Sumiton, AL), 38-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Red Raiders face the South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL) in a 1A Region 5 bout, on Friday, October 14. Marion County will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Stallions enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 7-0 league win over Sumiton Christian (Sumiton, AL).

The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Tarrant (Birmingham, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Tarrant lost by Midfield (Midfield, AL), 34-14, in a league bout.
