The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Watertown Arrows (Watertown, SD) and the host Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD), observed Watertown's football squad defeat Mitchell by a count of 24-14.

The Arrows now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Spearfish for a non-league contest on Friday, October 14. Watertown will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 49-0 non-league win over Tea (Tea, SD). The Spartans record now stands at 4-3.

Coming up next, the Kernels encounter the Huron Tigers (Huron, SD) in a Eastern South Dakota - AA contest, on Friday, October 14. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 2-5 record after their 59-7 league loss to Riggs (Pierre, SD).
