Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team rout the host Sunset Bison (Dallas, TX), 72-14 in a league test.

With the win, Newman Smith improves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Trojans host Richland (North Richland Hills, TX) to confront the Royals in a 5A-1 Region II District 5 test on Friday, October 14. The Royals go into the test with a record of 6-0. Richland won 63-7 in their recent league test against Turner (Carrollton, TX)

With the loss, Sunset moves to 1-6 on the season. The Bison travel to Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX) to confront the Hawks in a 5A-1 Region II District 5 test on Friday, October 14. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 4-2. Birdville won 42-0 in their recent league test against Molina (Dallas, TX)
