The South Eugene Axe football team (Eugene, OR), was ripped 62-3 in Friday's league challenge with the host North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR)

The Highlanders (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Lancers come into the 5A Special District 2 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Churchill was ripped by Springfield (Springfield, OR), 31-14, in a league challenge.

The Axe now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Thurston for a 5A Special District 2 challenge on Friday, October 14. South Eugene will meet a Colts team coming off a 24-14 league win over Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR). The Colts record now stands at 4-2.
