The Rio Mesa Spartans football squad scored 24 points and restricted the visiting Oxnard Yellowjackets to 7 in the Spartans league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pacifica for a Channel battle on Friday, October 14. Rio Mesa will face a Tritons squad coming off a 72-0 league win over Channel Islands (Oxnard, CA). The Tritons record now stands at 6-1.
