The Ponder Lions football team (Ponder, TX), was tipped 58-55 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX)

The Bearcats (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Boyd (Boyd, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 3A-1 Region I District 4 challenge with a 3-4 record.

The Lions now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boyd for a 3A-1 Region I District 4 challenge on Friday, October 14. Ponder will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 33-12 league loss to Paradise (Paradise, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-4.
