The Roma Gladiators football team (Roma, TX), was beaten 51-35 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX)

The Rattlers (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX). The Wolverines come into the 5A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial was beaten by Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX), 30-13, in a league challenge.

The Gladiators now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pioneer for a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge on Friday, October 14. Roma will meet a Diamondbacks team coming off a 38-14 league win over Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Diamondbacks record now stands at 4-2.
