The Grand Junction Tigers volleyball team (Grand Junction, CO), went down 3-1 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Rifle Bears (Rifle, CO)

The Bears (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Roaring Fork (Carbondale, CO). The Rams come into the 3A Western Slope challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Roaring Fork defeated Moffat County (Craig, CO), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers encounter the Grand Junction Central Warriors (Grand Junction, CO) in a 4A/5A Southwestern challenge, on Tuesday, October 11. Grand Junction will attempt to move on its 2-13 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO).
