Texas High School Football - Yates gets by Furr

The Yates Lions football squad scored 14 points and restricted the visiting Furr Brahmans to 7 in the Lions league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kashmere for a 4A-1 Region III District 11 battle on Friday, October 13. Yates will play a Fighting Rams squad coming off a 36-6 league win over Scarborough (Houston, TX). The Fighting Rams record now stands at 5-2.

Coming up next, the Brahmans play the Washington Eagles (Houston, TX) in a 4A-1 Region III District 11 battle, on Thursday, October 12. Furr will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 1-5 record after their 44-0 league loss to North Forest (Houston, TX).
