New Jersey High School Football - Westfield tips Somerville

October 7, 2023: Westfield, NJ 07090

The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) and the visiting Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ), observed Westfield's football squad edge Somerville by a count of 31-29.

The Blue Devils now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Ridge for a non-league contest on Saturday, October 14. Westfield will encounter a Red Devil squad coming off a 35-0 non-league win over South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ). The Red Devil record now stands at 5-1.

Coming up next, the Pioneers encounter the Hillsborough Raiders (Hillsborough, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 13. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 6-1 record after their 19-13 league win over Hunterdon Central (Flemington, NJ).
